The Vision Comes to Life

Near the turn of the century, Monsignor William A. Browne, pastor of St. Mary’s Parish, saw the need for a hospital to serve the growing industrial city of Amsterdam. He bought a local mansion and asked the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet for help. Five sisters arrived in response.
