Lactation Support Services
As a hospital we are “Breastfeeding Friendly,” and on a journey to become a "Baby Friendly" facility to signify our commitment to the community’s health by establishing maternity care practices that support mothers and newborns in early successful breastfeeding.
Our Lactation Center is located on the 4th Floor in The Birthplace; this is a beautiful warm space open for use to all lactating mothers. Moms may use this room as needed.
Working mothers are welcome here and can use the room to express milk in privacy. Our lactation consultants are available for appointments every Wednesday for any mother who may need special advice or counseling related to maintaining a milk supply while working or with any needs or questions related to infant/ family nutrition. This service is free of charge.
Please stop by and visit us on Maternity. We will be happy to provide a tour of our facilities.
Call (518) 841-7314 to schedule a Wednesday appointment with one of our Lactation Consultants if needed.
