Why you should choose to work at St. Mary’s

St. Mary’s has been our community’s hospital and partner—and a major employer—for 120 years. It’s not uncommon for several members of the same family to be part of the St. Mary’s team. Even unrelated employees tend to view their colleagues as their “work family.”

Patients and employees benefit from our culture of caring and compassion, respect, and transparency. We take great pride in the personalized healthcare that we provide and the many ways we support our community.

St. Mary’s clearly is a special place, a home away from home for our employees. And some of the strongest proof can be found in the many employees who stay with us for decades, caring for our community and each other

Amsterdam and the Mohawk Valley

Amsterdam, a longtime milltown on the Mohawk River, is part of New York’s living history. Within an hour of Albany, Schenectady, and Saratoga Springs, this little city with the hometown feel is home to minor-league baseball and a wealth of recreation opportunities. Nearby Gloversville plays host to traveling performers at the region’s oldest theater—and is the gateway to the Adirondack Mountains.
