Dr. Tournas looks forward to collaborating with the existing providers in order to continue to practice the full breadth of the ENT specialty and subspecialty as an Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon.” He joins St. Mary’s after his latest professional experience working at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (U.V.H.M.) in Plattsburgh for 3 years.
Originally from Montreal, Canada where he earned both his undergraduate degree and medical degrees (Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery), at the top ranked McGill University. Dr. Tournas graduated with Great Distinction, and was awarded multiple grants and awards throughout his college career. He was also published in two Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) medical journals.
Dr. Tournas is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in the state of New York and is a member of the American Medical Association (A.M.A.). He completed his Residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Sherbrooke in Quebec’s Eastern townships, and finished his training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University.
