The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program provides every patient with expert care from a dedicated professional staff, features state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and is the most comprehensive cardiac rehab service in the Fulmont area.
Professional staff includes an Exercise Physiologist with Masters Degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Registered Nurse with over 20 years experience in cardiac care, Registered Dietician, Physical Therapist, and a Medical Director, board certified in cardiology.
Phase II
Phase II is for patients with stable angina or following congestive heart failure: class II-IV, heart attack, cardiomyopathy, open-heart surgery, valve repair or replacement, angioplasty or heart transplant. It includes:
- Exercise sessions with telemetry monitoring designed specifically for Cardiac Rehabilitation
- Dietary consultation, initial assessment with follow-up visits
- Education Programs (see list below)
- Covered by most insurance companies
Phase III
Phase III is for those patients removed from a cardiac event and/or those with multiple risk factors. It includes:
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Obesity
- Family history of heart disease
- Smoking
- Diabetes
- High stress
