Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all.

PROS: Personalized Recovery Oriented Services

What is Pros
Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) combines recovery focused programs including continuing Day Treatment Social Clubs and Intensive Psychiatric Rehab Treatment (IPRT) as a new program. Located on the St. Mary's Memorial Campus, the program emphasizes the successful pursuit of personal goals. PROS also offers Spanish speaking programs.

What is the Purpose of Pros
The purpose of Personalized Recovery Oriented Services is:

  • To help people take control of their lives
  • To help people develop the skills and abilities necessary to overcome barriers and effectively negotiate the challenges in their lives
  • To enable individuals with a mental health diagnosis to pursue personal life goals
  • To instill hope and focus on the successful fulfillment of personal dreams

PROS Service Categories
There are four categories of PROS services designed to address your needs:

  • Community Rehabilitation and Support (CRS)*
CRS services are the main service components of PROS. They are designed to engage and assist you in your personal life journey. Specifically, these services will assist you in restoring the skills and supports necessary to live independently in the community.

  • Intensive Rehabilitation*
IR services are designed to assist you in attaining specific life roles such as school, independent housing and employment. IR services can also help to reduce the risk of hospitalization, loss of housing or involvement with the criminal justice system and help you manage distressing symptoms. If you're also battling with alcohol or substance abuse issues, Dual Recovery programs are available.

  • Ongoing Rehabilitation and Support (ORS)
ORS services are designed t address your needs as you join and maintain a place in the competitive workplace. For example, this service will provide you with ongoing vocational counseling, advocacy & support, career exploration as well as employment options.

  • Clinical Treatment
Clinical Treatment services, an optional component, offers psychiatry and nursing including clinical counseling, therapy & medication prescribing practices that have been proven to be effective. The PROS clinic also includes other typical clinic services such as health assessments and blood work with lab consultation.

What do you want to do with your life?

  1. PROS staff can help you find and develop your strengths in life - helping you gain confidence in yourself to begin the process of identifying your goals in a supportive environment.
  2. Staff will work with you, and any people you want in your support system (friends, family, etc.), to develop a plan of services and/or treatments that will help you develop skills and abilities to overcome the identified barriers.
  3. Once you've identified a plan, you can start using PROS services to their fullest extent to develop the skills, abilities and confidence you need to reach your goals.
Hope for people with psychiatric diagnoses
