Inpatient Psychiatric Care
The Mental Health Inpatient Unit (St. Dymphna Hall) is located on the third floor of St. Mary's Hospital. The goal is to provide short-term, comprehensive, individualized care designed to mobilize a person's resources and enable them to cope with current crises. Normal visiting hours for this Unit are 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Some restrictions may apply. call 841-7333.
Adult Mental Health Clinic
The Adult Mental Health Clinic is located at 427 Guy Park Avenue in Amsterdam, New York. The clinic provides outpatient mental health services (diagnosis and treatment) to adults 18 years of age and older who reside in Montgomery County. Appointments are available Monday through Friday. Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
The ACT office is located at 446B Guy Park Avenue in Amsterdam, New York. Assertive Community Treatment is an evidenced-based practice that offers treatment, rehabilitation, and support services, using a person-centered, recovery-based approach, to individuals that have been diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. Assertive Community Treatment services - assertive outreach, mental health treatment, health, vocational, integrated dual disorder treatment, family education, wellness skills, community linkages, and are provided to individuals by a mobile, multi-disciplinary team, in community settings. The goal of Assertive Community Treatment services is to assist individuals to achieve their personally meaningful goals and life roles. Mobile Geriatric Outreach Program
This program addresses the needs of the elderly mentally ill residing in Montgomery and Fulton counties. Staff provide education and consultation to service providers and mental health assessment and referral to individuals. For information call (518) 841-7462.
Case Management, Supportive Case Management, and Intensive Case Management Services
Working as client advocates, Case Managers support adult clients in Fulton, Montgomery, and Hamilton counties by linking them with needed medical, psychiatric, social, and educational services. For information on Adult Case Management services call (518) 770-6875.
Family Care Program
The Family Care Program provides 24-hour supervised family-like housing and associated supportive services needed for community living. To inquire about this program, call (518) 770-6824.
Social Club Program (N.E.W. Frontiers)
Provides a unique day program which fosters the development of self through involvement in a "club-like" setting. The Club has 2 sites - N.E.W. Frontiers West is located at 8 River Road in Nelliston; and N.E.W. Frontiers North is located at 73 North Main Street in Gloversville.
