 The Occupational Therapy Department of St. Mary's Hospital at Amsterdam offers programs for many different diagnoses including stroke (CVA), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, orthopedic injuries of the arm and hand, repetitive stress disorders (including carpal tunnel syndrome), postoperative hand therapy, brain injury, and chronic pain management.
A physician's prescription is required for Occupational Therapy, and O.T. services are covered by most insurance companies.
