The Foundation:About the Foundation
The Foundation of St. Mary's Healthcare was formed in 1984 to encourage gifts to the Hospital in support of its mission to provide compassionate healthcare of excellence. Since that beginning, the Foundation has received gifts totaling over $9,000,000 from a generous community and supportive local businesses and foundations.
Now, more than ever, St. Mary's Healthcare needs the financial support of its friends. Monies contributed are applied to a variety of needs, all directed at continuously improving the organization 's services and patient outcomes. Contributions help the St. Mary's and its patients by providing funding for:
- New Construction to meet changing patient needs
- Renovation to improve existing facilities and keep them modern
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic Equipment to help assure the best patient outcomes possible
- Endowment Growth to help assure a strong future for SMH healthcare
- Healthcare Scholarships to enhance the local availability of well-trained healthcare employees and
- Employee Continuing Education to keep skills current with newly discovered knowledge and techniques
The finest in patient care requires a constant investment in people, buildings and equipment. Your contributions perform the vital function of helping St. Mary's Healthcare maintain the state of the art in healthcare while containing patient care costs.
