St. Mary's Hospital Ethics Committee is an inter-disciplinary committee of health care professions including physicians, nurses and other hospital staff and representatives of the community who meet regularly to study and address the variety of ethical issues facing health care today.

The Ethics Consult Group is a subcommittee of the Ethics Committee that addresses specific patient care issues that arise.  The Consult Group is available to patients, families of patients and clinical staff.  Patients or their families may ask for an ethical consult either through their nurse, doctor or by contacting the chairs of the ethics committee or Pastoral Care Office at 841-7134.
