Dr. Mohammad-Reza Ghazi-Moghadam earned his medical degree from the National University of Iran in 1972.  Following trainings at Passaic General Hospital in New Jersey, Downstate-Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York University, Bellevue Hospital and Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York, he became specialized in the field of Urology.  He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Ghazi is a member of the American Urological Association, the Capital District Urological Society and is a former member of New York State Urological Society.  He has been a member of the Rotary Club since 1982.  As a Paul Harris Fellow and a recipient of the Health Care Excellence Award, Dr. Ghazi demonstrates his commitment to health care and his service to both his community and the medical profession.  he is associated with the NYS Medical Society and is a past president of the County Medical Society.  As a member of the NYS Board of Professional Medical Conduct, he demonstrates his commitment to quality and his profession.

Locally, Dr. Ghazi has served on the Board of Trustees and as President of the Medical Staff at Amsterdam memorial Hospital.  He served more than nine years on St. Mary's Board of Directors, the Medical Staff Executive Committee, and is presently Chairman of the Department of Surgery.

As physician, Dr. Ghazi is exemplary in his pursuit of new medical knowledge and in the application of the latest techniques and therapies in his specialty of Urology.  He has earned the respect of his patients and colleagues through his compassionate and understanding demeanor, his medical expertise and his personal concern for those who place themselves in his care.
