You will NOT be denied ANY needed medical service even if you are unable to pay.

St. Mary's Hospital at Amsterdam offers several possible options for paying your medical bills.

We strongly recommend that you talk with a Financial Counselor about options for paying your bills or obtaining insurance.  However, listed below is a brief description of possible options for reducing some or all of your medical bills.

If you have no insurance......

A Financial Counselor will contact you to see if you may be eligible for a health insurance plan such as Medicaid, Child Health Plus or Family Health Plus. Eligibility is determined based on family size and income level. The Financial Counselor can help you with the application and enrollment forms.

If you have unpaid medical bills.....

You may be eligible for financial assistance through the St. Mary's Hospital "Carondelet Care" program.

If you are unable to pay your hospital bills, the Financial Counselors can work with you to possibly reduce part or all of your bill. In order to help you, the Financial Counselor will need you to provide detailed financial information. The Counselors need this information to complete the financial assistance form.

Other Financial Options For You.........

A payment plan may be another option for you. Please contact a Financial Counselor to review this possibility.

For Behavioral Health Services (Mental Health and Addiction Services), a sliding scale or modified payment plan may be available. Please contact a Behavioral Health Services Financial Counselor or more information.
