Dr. Tim Shoen, Vice President for Medical Affairs at St. Mary's is excited about this opportunity to expand the quality services presently available to the community.  "We are continuously reviewing the healthcare needs of our patients and actively looking to meet their needs", states Dr. Shoen.  "Ramsey Elhosn, MD, brings a level of clinical experience and patient care that fits well with the current system of services.  I am pleased that St. Mary's, in addition to all of its other accessible health center providers and services, is able to expand its offerings to include ophthalmology services for our region."

Dr. Elhosn has a personal interest, as well as a professional one, in joining the community.  He is married to Cheryl Sorbero, DDS, who graduated from Amsterdam High School and whose family has been a part of the of the Amsterdam/Hagaman community for over 80 years.   Dr Elhosn and his wife have a two year old son and are expecting their second child at the end of June.
