Multiple health insurance options are available to Associates. All plans offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient coverage as well as prescription coverage. Associate cost varies by plan selected. Full and part time Associates are eligible to enroll and have insurance effective either the first of the month after employment or the first of the month after three months of employment. Associates may also enroll during regular open enrollment each year or within 30 days of a qualifying event.
A dental plan is available which provides for preventive and restorative benefits. Premiums may be deducted pre-tax. Full and part-time Associates can enroll in a comprehensive voluntary plan providing biannual eye exams, frames and lenses, or contact lenses. Available during open enrollment only.
Full and part-time Associates are offered a combined paid time off program that offers flexibility through the accrual of a bank of time. This time is used for any time off, including vacations, personal days, sick days, and holidays. You can use your PTO after six months of employment and for premium holidays after 30 days of employment.
A long-term sick bank that provides full and part-time Associates with income to supplement the State-mandated short-term disability program. Full-time Associates accrue 6 days per year, pro-rated for part-time.
Full and part-time Associates who reach the age of 21 and who work a minimum of 1,000 hours in a calendar year will become participants in the Hospital's pension plan. Once a participant, the Hospital will contribute to the plan provided the Associate works a minimum of 500 hours in a calendar year. Associates are vested after the equivalent of 5 full-time years.
Tax Sheltered Annuity
This 403b savings plan allows tax deferred savings up to the maximum amount allowed by IRS law.
Full and part-time Associates with three months of service may apply for tuition assistance for courses that improve their ability to perform their current job, qualify them for a hospital occupation, or fulfill a related degree requirement. Maximum reimbursement is $2,000 per year, pro-rated for part-time Associates. Any Associate matriculated in a course of study leading to eligibility in a position deemed "hard-to-fill" may be eligible for up to $3,000 per year.
Voluntary program allows Associates to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for non-reimbursed medical expenses and dependent care expenses. Both are subject to IRS regulations.
All full and part-time Associates are entitled to group life insurance at one times their annual salary (maximum $25,000) upon completion of one full year of employment.
Full and Part-time Associates receive a maximum of 3 paid days to attend the funeral of an immediate family member. Contact Human Resources for more information.
Associates are compensated at their base rate for any work hours missed as a result of jury duty service, minus the amount the Associate receives as a juror.
