Educational Programs:Support Groups

Support groups are created by people who provide a warm, welcoming, safe environment for others to find hope and inspiration from people who have "been there".  The support groups also serve as educational resources, discussion forums, builders of coping skills and personal support.  There is no "sign up" needed; please feel free to attend any of the groups listed below.

     

Brain Injury Support Group

Description: The Brain Injury Support Group  is available for brain injury and stroke survivors, family members, and those who are interested in learning more about dealing with brain injury.

Date: The second Monday of each month

Time/Place: 7:00 PM/ St. Mary's Hospital Cafeteria

Breast Cancer Support Group

Description: The Breast Cancer Support Group  provides a safe, comforting place to meet other breast cancer patients and survivors, to receive health  education, guidance, support, and to build new friendships.

Date: The last Monday in February, April, June, September,and November.

Time/Place: 7:00 PM/ St. Mary's Hospital First Floor Education Classroom

Description: Look Good...Feel Better is a free program that teaches beauty techniques to women cancer patients in active treatment to help them combat the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.
